From sustainability to regeneration
Para responder a este desafío, nace en Costa Rica, en 1994, la Universidad para la Cooperación Internacional (UCI), con el objetivo de formar profesionales capaces de enfrentar con eficacia los retos y dilemas multifacéticos de la complejidad del mundo moderno, bajo los conceptos de sostenibilidad y globalización. Desde sus inicios, UCI ha sido pionera:
- Transdisciplinary programs when they were not yet common
- Integration of environment, society and economy, then extended to culture, politics and spirituality.
- Distance education since 1996 and virtual education since the early 2000s, anticipating a transformation in the educational field.
